Provençal markets

One of the greatest pleasures in life has to be scouring the traditional Provençal markets for marinated olives, delectable cheeses, juicy tomatoes or some nice souvenirs.

On Wednesdays in Saint-Remy-de-Provence, on Thursdays in Maussane-les-Alpilles, on Fridays in Saint-Martin-de-Crau or Eygalières.

nature

No shortage of variety here! The enchanting mountain scenery of the “Alpilles” and the stunning wetlands of the Camargue with their unique animal species are both protected areas, boasting an array of splendid scenic walks. And beyond the Camargue, you have the sea, at a mere half an hour’s drive away.

golf

With two of France’s most beautiful golf courses, Golf de Servannes in Mouriès (18 holes) and Golf du Domaine de Manville in Les Baux de Provence (18 holes) at less than 15 km away, golf aficionados too can indulge themselves in their favourite pastime.

Horse riding, climbing, cycling

The various equestrian centres in the area organise hacks through the Alpilles. Also mountain climbers are well catered for as the region boasts a number of fantastic climbing sites. And with the iconic Mont Ventoux at less than one hour away, this has to be the ultimate cyclists’ paradise.

folklore

Horse and bull take centre stage in numerous folkloristic events. During the summertime, no weekend goes by without some form of fun-filled entertainment being hosted: “toro piscine”, “course camarguaise” or “abbrivado”. Endless fun ensured!
